Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the sentencing of William J. Brovich, who appeared before the Honorable William J. McGovern, III, J.S.C. at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on May 12, 2017.
Brovich, age 33, of Wantage, was sentenced to a four year suspended New Jersey State Prison term and a seven (7) month driver’s license suspension. He must also complete twelve hours IDRC, report to his parole officer twice a week, submit to random urine monitoring, undergo a TASC evaluation and follow all recommendations, attend NA meetings two times per week and obtain a sponsor, maintain full time employment and pay $1280.00 in court fines and fees.
He pled guilty on March 20, 2017, to third degree Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance and Motor Vehicle Violation Driving While Intoxicated.
The defendant was in possession of heroin when he was found by Vernon Police, slumped over the steering wheel of his car on the side of the road.
Brovich was represented by Steven Insley, Esq. and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Brent M. Rafuse.
