Press Release - Sentencing of Dominick Hernandez

     Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the sentencing of Dominick Hernandez, who appeared before the Honorable Michael E. Hubner, J.S.C., at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on January 15, 2020.
     Hernandez, age 29 of Sparrowbush, New York, was sentenced to 60 days in the county jail, suspended, and three years of non-custodial probation.  He was ordered to submit a DNA sample and pay fines and fees totaling $155.00.  
     He pled guilty on December 17, 2019, to Resisting Arrest, a third degree crime.
     The defendant used physical force against New Jersey State Police Troopers to prevent his arrest on July 3, 2019, in Montague Township.   
     Hernandez was represented by Steven J. Insley, Esq., and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Sally Anne Monkemeier.
