     Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the entry of a guilty plea to an indictment before the Honorable Michael C. Gaus, J.S.C. at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on June 28, 2022 by Elizabeth A. Hogoboom-Szluka.

     Hogoboom-Szluka, age 45, of Branchville, pled guilty to Cyber Harassment, a crime of the fourth degree.  Sentencing is presently scheduled for September 8, 2022 before the Honorable Michael C. Gaus, J.S.C.                          

     In pleading guilty, the defendant admitted to sending comments via social media which were indecent or lewd with the intention of harassing the victim who was a 13 year-old girl at the time.

     Hogoboom-Szluka was represented by William Oake, Esq., and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Brent M. Rafuse.
