Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the sentencing of David Washer, who appeared before the Honorable Thomas J. Critchley, Jr., J.S.C. at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on May 17, 2019.
Washer, age 34, of Paterson, was sentenced to two years’ Probation concurrent with Passaic County Drug Court Probation. He was given credit for 19 days of time served. He was ordered to pay restitution of $497.97 and fines and fees totaling $155.00.
He pled guilty on April 1, 2019, to Shoplifting, a crime of the fourth degree.
The defendant took merchandise from the Newton Weis on January 10, 2019, without paying.
Washer was represented by Steven Insley, Esq. and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Donald F. Cox, Jr.
