Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the sentencing of Juliann Heddy, who appeared before the Honorable Thomas J. Critchley, Jr., J.S.C., at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on August 9, 2019.
Heddy, age 25 of Newton, was sentenced to two years of probation with a potential for discharge at 18 months. She was ordered to successfully complete an anger management program or other appropriate treatment, and pay fines and fees totaling $2,330.00.
She pled guilty on June 17, 2019, to False Public Alarm, a third degree crime, and Simple Assault, a petty disorderly person’s offense.
The defendant knowingly caused a false alarm on May 7, 2019, by activating the fire alarm on the fourth floor of Gateway Apartments in Newton, and she had a physical altercation with a resident of another apartment.
Heddy was represented by Shaun Morgan Russell, Esq., and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Donald F. Cox, Jr.
