Press Release - Sentencing of Daniel J. De Vries

PRESS RELEASE

 

April 30, 2020

     Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the sentencing of Daniel J.
De Vries, who appeared before the Honorable Louis S. Sceusi, Jr., J.S.C., on April 30, 2020.

     De Vries, age 23 of Hardyston, was sentenced to two years of probation supervision with
the condition that he complete a drug treatment program. He was further ordered to pay fines
and fees totaling $1,205.00.

     He pled guilty on March 9, 2020, to Distribution of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, a
third degree crime.

     In September, 2018, the defendant was arrested by Vernon Township Police at the
conclusion of a narcotics distribution investigation. De Vries admitted that he had distributed
narcotics to an individual.

     DeVries was represented by Thomas F, Militano, Esq., and the State was represented by
Assistant Prosecutor Jerome P. Neidhardt.
