Press Release - Plea of Neale Olree

June 23, 2020

     Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the entry of a guilty plea to an Accusation before the Honorable Louis S. Sceusi, J.S.C. at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on June 23, 2020 by Neale Olree.

     Olree, age 29, of Branchville, pled guilty to False Public Alarm – Calling 9-1-1 Without Needing 9-1-1 Service, a crime of the fourth degree.  Additionally, Olree pled guilty to pending Violations of Probation.  Sentencing is presently scheduled for July 30, 2020.

     The defendant admitted to calling a 9-1-1 Emergency phone system to report an incident that he knew was not an emergency.    

     Olree was represented by Daniel Palazzo, Esq. and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Magdalen Czykier.
