     Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the sentencing of Marchello Mitchell, the Honorable Louis S. Sceusi, J.S.C., at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on August 20, 2020.

 

     Mitchell, age 31 of New York, was sentenced to two years of probation and received credit for 39 days of jail time served.  He was ordered to submit a DNA sample and pay fines and fees totaling $280.00.   

 

     He pled guilty on January 29, 2020, to Shoplifting and Conspiracy, both fourth degree crimes.  

 

     The defendant admitted conspiring with another to take and actually steal merchandise from the Byram CVS on December 22, 2019.  

 

     Mitchell was represented by Thomas F. Militano, Esq., and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Donald F. Cox, Jr.
