Press Release - Plea of Jason G. Reiff and Elizabeth A. Reiff

Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the entry of a guilty plea to an accusation before the Honorable Louis S. Sceusi, J.S.C. at the Sussex County Virtual Courtroom in Newton on November 12, 2020 by Jason G. Reiff and Elizabeth A. Reiff.
Jason Reiff, age 43, of Montague, pled guilty to Burglary, a crime of the third degree. Elizabeth Reiff, age 30, also of Montague, pled guilty to a fourth degree charge of Title 9: Child Abuse and a disorderly persons offense of Criminal Trespass. Sentencing is presently scheduled for December 23, 2020 before the Honorable Louis S. Sceusi, J.S.C.
The defendants entered their neighbor’s apartment taking various items that were later recovered. When the State Police returned to the Reiff residence to effectuate the arrest of Elizabeth Reiff they found Marijuana and a vape pen within reach of a child she was babysitting and the odor of burnt Marijuana was in the air.
Elizabeth Reiff was represented by Shaun Russell, Esq. Jason Reiff was represented by William Oake, Esq., and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Brent M. Rafuse.
