Press Release - Sentencing of Matthew Morley

     Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the sentencing of Matthew Morley, who appeared before the Honorable Louis S. Sceusi, J.S.C., at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on January 14, 2021.
 
     Morley, age 39 of Montrose, Pennsylvania, was sentenced to a suspended three year term in New Jersey State Prison.  He was given nine days of jail credit and ordered to submit a DNA sample and pay fines and fees totaling $155.00.
 
     He pled guilty on November 30, 2020, to Perjury, a third degree crime.
 
     On January 16, 2018, the defendant made a false material statement while under oath in Vernon Municipal Court.
Morley was represented by Bruce C. Farrier, Esq., and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Donald F. Cox, Jr.
