Press Release - Sentencing of Monika Wolverton

     Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the sentencing of Monika Wolverton, who appeared before the Honorable Louis S. Scouse, J.S.C., at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on April 22, 2021.
 
     Wolverton, age 33 of Newton, was sentenced to three years in New Jersey State Prison.  She was ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $1,390.00 and fines and fees totaling $280.00 and submit a DNA sample.  
 
     She pled guilty on March 8, 2021, to Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card, a third degree crime, Theft, a third degree crime and a violation of probation.  
 
     The defendant stole a credit card to withdraw cash from two bank ATMs on multiple occasions between October 15 and November 9, 2020, in Bram Township, and violated her probation.   
 
     Wolverton was represented by Bruce C. Farrier, Esq., and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Donald F. Cox, Jr.
