     Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the entry of a guilty plea to an accusation before the Honorable Noah Franzblau, J.S.C., at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on March 28, 2022, by Lance Miley.

     Miley, age 36, pled guilty to Criminal Mischief, a fourth degree crime.  Sentencing is presently anticipated for April 21, 2022.

     In pleading guilty, the defendant admitted to damaging property of another in Newton on January 9, 2022, in excess of $500.00.

     The case was investigated by Ptl. Steven Shawger of the Newton Police Department. 

     Miley was represented by William Oake, Esq., and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Donald F. Cox, Jr.
