Commissioner Schick was selected to fill the unexpired term of now Assemblywoman Dawn Fantasia on February 3, 2024.

Commissioner Schick has been a Sussex County resident since 1987. A father and grandfather, Commissioner Schick enjoys spending his free time with his wife, granddaughter, son and daughter-in-law.

Professionally, Commissioner Schick is the owner/operator of a local jewelry store and is a licensed mortgage professional who has been in the industry for over 20 years. Much of his business has been located in Sussex County, where he helps to bring in the next generation of residents and assist those who wish to live out their retirement in Sussex County.

Commissioner Schick is a veteran of the United States Army National Guard. Honorably discharged in 1986, he proudly served and continues his service working with various veteran support organizations such as the Mission 22 Project and those who serve homeless veterans. Commissioner Schick served two terms on the Newton Township Planning Board and is still very active in the community.
