Municipal Alliances are community-based volunteer committees, which were established in 1990 in each municipality to address each community's unique substance abuse prevention needs and problems for all ages. In Sussex County there are 11 Municipal Alliances representing all 24 towns.

Office of Substance Abuse and Alcohol ensures that Sussex County receives funding to provide treatment services to our residents and oversees contracts and payments made to agencies providing the specified services.

Intoxicated Driver Resource Center (IDRC) ensures that all Sussex County residents convicted of a Driving Under the Influence (DUI) or related offense comply with the court ordered penalties.

Mental Health Board promote access to and availability of efficient, adequate, integrated health care services for adults with serious mental illness and/or substance use disorders and for children and adolescents with emotional, behavioral and mental health disorders.

Human Services Advisory Council is a county-based planning, advisory, and advocacy organization dedicated to meeting the human services needs of the local community.

Disability Services Advisory Council serves as an advisory board to the Sussex County Board of County Commissioners. Meeting dates and Disability Services Resource Directory.

Youth Services Commission advocates for an accessible, responsive, integrated and coordinated system of care for the specific needs of youth and families residing in Sussex County.
2024 Comprehensive County Youth Services Plan

Detention Alternatives provides 24 hour monitoring and supervision as an alternative for those youth who would otherwise be locked in secured detention.

Youth Shelter Home and Juvenile Detention Center Sussex County and Morris County have a shared service agreement for Youth Shelter Home and Juvenile Detention services.
