Press Release - Appellate Decision in State v. Frank Aigotti

     Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced that on April 27, 2020, the Appellate Division affirmed the convictions and sentence of Frank Aigotti in a thirty-four page unpublished opinion. 
 
     On December 14, 2017, Aigotti was found guilty of first degree Robbery and second degree Conspiracy to Commit Robbery after a six (6) day jury trial in the Sussex County Superior Court. On January 13, 2014, Aigotti committed a robbery at the Lakeland Bank in Wantage, NJ with assistance from co-Defendant, Jacinda Moore.  
 
     On March 13, 2018, Aigotti appeared before the Honorable William J. McGovern, III, J.S.C. and was sentenced on the first degree charge to an extended term of forty (40) years in New Jersey State Prison subject to the No Early Release Act. The Defendant was assessed fines and fees totaling $205. Aigotti was also ordered to pay $1,477 in restitution to Lakeland Bank. The Defendant was sentenced on the third degree charge to a concurrent ten (10) year State Prison sentence and was assessed fines and fees totaling $205. 
 
     On June 4, 2018, the Defendant filed a timely appeal to the Appellate Division. Aigotti was represented by Ahmed Kassim, Esq. on appeal, and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Shaina Brenner.
