Press Release - Sentencing of Daniel Goldberg

Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the sentencing of Daniel Goldberg who appeared before the Honorable Michael E. Hubner, J.S.C., at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on June 2, 2020.
Goldberg, age 33 of Newton, was sentenced to up to five years of drug court special probation. He was also ordered to pay mandatory fines and penalties, including $5,120.00 in restitution.
He pled guilty on April 20, 2020, to Burglary, a third degree crime, and Theft, a third degree crime. On August 29, 2019, Goldberg entered the residence of the victim without permission for the purpose of taking items belonging to the victim which he then sold. The defendant also admitted that on August 20, 2019 he took items from a second victim without permission which he also then sold.
Goldberg was represented by Steven J. Insley, Esq. and the State was represented by Sally Anne Monkemeier.
