Press Release - Sentencing of Robert Norman

Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the sentencing of Robert Norman, who appeared before the Honorable Michael C. Gaus, J.S.C., at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on November 5, 2021.
Norman, age 38 of Wantage, was sentenced to five years of probation with conditions to mimic Drug Court including submission to a TASC evaluation and following any and all recommendations made from same, 90 days in jail with jail credit of 202 days and payment of restitution of $3,671.35 and fines and fees totaling $280.00.
He pled guilty on September 20, 2021, to Shoplifting, a third degree crime, and Shoplifting, a fourth degree crime.
The defendant took merchandise valued at over $500.00 from the Franklin Walmart between August 22 and August 26, 2020, and took merchandise valued at over $200.00 from the Newton Weis Market on August 31, 2020.
Norman was represented by Thomas Militano, Esq., and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Donald F. Cox, Jr.
