Press Release - Sentencing of Michael J. Morgan

     Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the sentencing of Michael J. Morgan, who appeared before the Honorable Michael C. Gaus, J.S.C. at the Virtual Sussex County Courtroom in Newton on December 2, 2021.
 
     Morgan, age 25, of Beach Lake, PA, was sentenced to two years Probation.  Along with the standard conditions of Probation, he must undergo a Substance Abuse Evaluation at the discretion of Probation and follow all recommendations, submit a DNA sample, and pay $1205.00 in fines and fees.
 
     He pled guilty on October 12, 2021, to Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, a crime of the third degree.
 
     The defendant was found to be in possession of Heroin at the time of a motor vehicle stop.
 
     Morgan was represented by Bruce C. Farrier, Esq. and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Sally Anne Monkemeier.
