Press Release - Sentencing of Nyerei Reed
PRESS RELEASE

Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the sentencing of Nyerei Reed, who appeared before the Honorable Michael C. Gaus, J.S.C. at the Sussex County Virtual Courtroom in Newton on April 8, 2022.
Reed, age 21, of Newark, was sentenced to two years non-custodial probation with credit for 205 days jail already served. He was ordered to complete 100 hours of community service, submit a substance abuse evaluation and follow any and all recommendations, made for same, and pay $280.00 in fines and fees.
He pled guilty on May 6, 2021 to Receiving Stolen Property and Conspiracy to Commit Burglary, both are crimes of the third degree.
The defendant received stolen property and conspired to commit burglary in Sparta Township on May 22, 2019.
Reed was represented by Matthew Young, Esq. and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Sally Anne Monkemeier.
