Press Release - Plea of Eric D. Hand

PRESS RELEASE

April 13, 2022


     Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the entry of a guilty plea to an accusation before the Honorable Michael C. Gaus, J.S.C. at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on April 13, 2022 by Eric D. Hand.

     Hand, age 29, of Hopatcong, pled guilty to Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a crime of the third degree.  Sentencing is presently scheduled for June 23, 2022 before the Honorable Michael C. Gaus, J.S.C.                          

     The defendant admitted to being in possession of child pornography on electronic devices which belonged to him.

     Hand was represented by Bruce Farrier, Esq., and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Brent M. Rafuse.
