Press Release - Plea of Crystal L. Candelario

Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the entry of a guilty plea to an indictment before the Honorable Michael C. Gaus, J.S.C. at the Sussex County Virtual Courtroom in Newton on May 19, 2022 by Crystal L. Candelario.
Candelario, age 31, of Port Jervis, NY, pled guilty to Theft, a crime of the third degree. Sentencing is presently scheduled for July 7, 2022 before the Honorable Michael C. Gaus, J.S.C.
In pleading guilty, the defendant admitted to taking more than $500 but less than $75,000 worth of products from the ShopRite in Montague with no intent to pay for them.
Candelario was represented by Matthew Young, Esq., and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Brent M. Rafuse.
