Newton, NJ – The Sussex County Library System (SCLS) is excited to announce the launch of "Full STEAM Ahead," a series of educational and engaging S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) events designed to spark curiosity and creativity in kids and teens.

These interactive, hands-on workshops will be held at each of SCLS’s six branches. The series is divided into two age groups: children and teens/tweens.

For children ages 5-10, workshops will focus on fun, exploratory projects:

  • Creating electric circuits using play dough
  • Building a dancing pipe cleaner figure

Tweens and teens ages 10-18 will learn the basics of electricity and circuits through:

  • Crafting holiday cards that light up
  • Assembling a mini LED flashlight keychain
