Newton, NJ — September is Library Card Sign-Up Month, and the Sussex County Library System (SCLS) is celebrating with One Card, Endless Possibilities — a reminder that one small card can open the door to a world of resources, learning, and fun.

With an SCLS card, you can do far more than borrow books. Enjoy free workshops and events, download audiobooks, stream movies, explore online learning, and borrow museum passes, cake pans, Wi-Fi hotspots, and more.

“The library is one of the few places everybody belongs,” said Will Porter, Library Director. “A library card connects you to knowledge, creativity, and community—it is truly for everyone in Sussex County.”

Celebrate and win:

Get, Use, or Renew Your Card – Each time you sign up for, renew, or use your library card during September, you’ll be entered to win a library swag bundle (one winner per branch).

Refer a Friend – Invite a friend to sign up for their first SCLS card. When they do, you’ll both be entered to win a grand prize – a bundle of gift cards for each of you.

Getting a card is easy — visit any SCLS branch with proof of residency or employment, or go to sussexcountylibrary.org to learn more. Library cards are free to anyone living, working or going to school in Sussex County (except Sparta).

One Card, Endless Possibilities runs from September 1–30. Don’t miss your chance to win — and to start getting the most out of your library card!
