Community Wide Mosquito Spray Applications

In compliance with New Jersey Pesticide Control Code (N.J.A.C. Title 7, Chapter 30) Sussex County Mosquito Control (SCMC) may be applying pesticides for the control of adult mosquito populations on an area-wide basis, as needed, throughout Sussex County during the period of May 1, 2025 through October 31, 2025.

The pesticides used are those approved and recommended by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) and by New Jersey Agricultural Experiment Station (NJAES) Rutgers University for the control of adult mosquitoes and considers them to pose no unreasonable health risk when applied according to label directions. All pesticide applications performed will be according to product labeling. The SCMC has notified municipal officials and police of these plans.

All aerial applications are conducted with granular products and for the treatment of uninhabited areas. Liquid spraying is NOT completed by plane.
