Makers, Tinkerers, and DIY Crafters of All Ages Invited to SCLS for Makers Day This Friday and Saturday

Newton, NJ – The Sussex County Library System (SCLS) is excited to announce it will once again participate in New Jersey Makers Day—a statewide initiative that celebrates, promotes, and introduces maker culture and STEM-based learning throughout New Jersey.
NJ Makers Day will be held this Friday and Saturday, March 15 and 16, 2024. Community members of all ages are invited to explore the world of creativity, innovation, and hands-on learning at SCLS, including:
- Interactive Demonstrations
- Robotics Showcases
- STEM Challenges
- Make-and-Take Craft Stations
- Book & Paper Arts
- Sewing & Jewelry Making
- Hands-on Gardening Tips
- And much more!

The interactive learning and STEM fun will continue throughout the month! In anticipation of the upcoming eclipse on April 8, 2024, SCLS will be hosting a series of STEAM events for kids and families. These events will provide valuable insights into the science behind eclipses, hands-on activities, as well as safe viewing tips and eclipse glasses giveaways (preregistration required).
